1. Nature of the project
Farol is an open source software project published under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0). The project consists of source code that anyone can clone, modify and run on their own infrastructure with their own credentials. Farol is NOT a financial service, NOT an investment advice service, NOT a portfolio management service, and NOT a copy-trading platform. There is no central operator who manages funds, executes trades for users, or provides personalized advice. The website at farol.run is informational only — it describes the open source project. The agent itself runs on your own machine if you choose to install it. Nothing on this site or produced by the agent constitutes a personal investment recommendation within the meaning of MiFID II or MiCA Regulation (EU) 2023/1114.

3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) on its global edge network. The agent source code is published on GitHub (GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Neither of these providers receives any user data from the running agent — they only host the website and the source repository.
4. Risk warning
Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile and speculative assets. Past performance, including any historical results displayed on this site or produced by the agent, does not guarantee future results. You may lose all of your invested capital. Farol does NOT guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the data and analysis it produces. Signals are generated by automated systems including machine learning models which may produce errors, hallucinations or biased outputs. If you choose to enable live trade execution, the trades happen on your own exchange account using your own API keys. You are solely responsible for the trades, the choice of risk parameters, and any loss. The maintainers of this open source project disclaim all liability for any loss arising from the use of the software.
5. License & intellectual property
The Farol source code is licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 (MPL-2.0). You may use, modify and redistribute it under the terms of that license. The website content (text, design, logos) is reserved. Your data — including any trades you execute, signals stored locally on your machine, or API keys — never reaches the project maintainers. There is no central data collection.
6. Personal data
This website (farol.run) does not collect personal data. There is no user account, no signup form, no analytics, no advertising. The website serves static HTML and CSS. If you contribute to the project on GitHub, GitHub may collect data per their own privacy policy. The Farol maintainers do not collect, store, or process any data about visitors of farol.run or users of the open source agent.
7. Cookies
This website does not set cookies of any kind. No tracking, no analytics, no preferences storage.
